Privacy Policy

RankJot ("we", "us"), operated by Ibrahim Emre POLAT, provides a Google keyword
rank-tracking service at rankjot.com. Ibrahim Emre POLAT is the data controller. This policy explains
what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address (used for passwordless sign-in, rank alerts, and
occasional emails about getting started with RankJot).
- Service data: the domains and keywords you track, the target country you choose,
and the rank-check history we generate for them.
- Usage & abuse-prevention: we log request events including IP address for the
free public checker and for account actions, to enforce fair-use limits and prevent abuse.
- Payments: if you subscribe, payment is processed by Paddle, our
Merchant of Record. We do not see or store your card details — we only store a Paddle customer /
subscription id and whether your plan is active.
- Cookies: a single signed session cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party
advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run rank checks, store history, and email you when positions move.
- To authenticate you (magic-link sign-in) and operate your account.
- To send you a short series of emails about how to use RankJot after you sign up. These are
separate from rank alerts: you can switch either off in your
account or with the unsubscribe link in any of them, and turning off one
leaves the other running.
- To enforce plan limits and protect the service from abuse.
- To process subscriptions and comply with tax/legal obligations (via Paddle).
Third parties we share with
- Paddle — payments, invoicing, and tax (Merchant of Record).
- Resend — transactional email delivery (sign-in links, rank alerts).
- Serper / Google — we query search results for your keywords (we send the keyword
and target country; we do not send your personal data).
- Hosting — our infrastructure provider stores the application database.
- ip-api.com — when we review our abuse-prevention logs, an IP address may be sent to
this service to resolve its approximate country. Nothing else about you is sent, and the result
(country/city only) is deleted on the same 90-day schedule as the IP itself.
We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention
We keep account and service data while your account is active. In abuse-prevention logs, IP addresses
are automatically deleted after 90 days (the rest of the log — counts and timestamps — may be retained for
statistics). You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. To exercise any of these, email
support@rankjot.com. Depending on your location (e.g. EU/UK
GDPR, Turkey KVKK) you may have additional statutory rights.
